Jordan Ames-Sinclair, working hard for you in Regina–Qu'Appelle
Jordan is a member of the Zagime Anishinabek, formally known as Sakimay First Nation and is currently attending the Paul J. Hill School of Business at the University of Regina. He is former member of the Youth Council for Western Region III, of the Métis Nation-Saskatchewan – through his paternal lineage (grandmother). He is loyal to the Métis roots of his Great Grandfather Arnold Gervais of Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan.
Born and raised in Regina, Jordan is a fraternal twin, his mother is of English & Irish ancestry and his father is a member of the Zagime Anishinabek. It is with this unique perspective and diversity that compels Jordan to pursue the responsibility of representing the constituents of Regina Qu’Appelle.
Jordan assists Limnos Environmental on Indigenous engagement regarding environmental issues, Traditional Knowledge, Indigenous Governance and language. Most recently, this has included projects specific to the Indigenous Based Climate Monitoring Program and Environment Canada’s Indigenous Guardians Initiative. He continues to contribute to the development and design of policies.
Jordan is an active volunteer in his community. He has worked on several campaigns at the Federal, Provincial and Indigenous levels of Government. Jordan will work tirelessly with Justin Trudeau and the Liberal team to continue to support the families of Regina-Qu’Appelle.
